Waffle Structure

SOFTlab developed a MEL script that automates the slicing of NURBS surfaces for digital manufacturing. It takes a NURBS object and provides an interface for the user to customize the number of sections in the x- and z-axes of a surface. The script then produces the sections and notches based on the given thickness of the construction material. We produced a mock-up in our studio using masonite.
