University of Puerto Rico, Campus Ponce

SOFTlab collaborated closely with ANIMA inc. on the final phase of the master plan for the redevelopment of the University of Puerto Rico in Ponce. The project consists of 11 programmatic bands that stitch together the existing elements of the campus to those proposed. One of the main initiatives of the master plan is to reinvigorate campus identity and spirit through new sports facilities. The bands accommodate flows of people at a wide range of velocities and capacities and generate new relationships between spaces and programs.
